In the Home Defense Concepts course you will learn firearm fundamentals, home security, knowledge of laws, gear and storage, and the aftermath of violent encounters.
Learn to do a detailed assessment of your home security, how to make a thorough home defense plan, and how to respond to a home invasion.
Required Gear for the course:
Handgun of a common caliber that the operator can easily control
200 rounds of ammo per person
A case for your handgun
Minimum of 1-2 magazines per handgun
Safety glasses and hearing protection (we can provide complimentary if needed)
Weather-appropriate attire (NO open-toed shoes. -- Tennis shoes or hiking shoes are recommended, they may get dirty. NO Sleeveless shirts or low cut shirts. Hats are also recommended for your safety)
Students will bring a light lunch or snack and something to drink (water will be provided)
Kydex holster
Sturdy belt (please wear appropriate pants with belt loops)
Additional Recommendations:
Please consider physical aspects like standing for periods of time at the range when you choose your attire.
