PASSION & COMMITMENT“My job as a coach is to help people understand that shooting is more than just pulling the trigger. It’s about mechanics, mindset, decision-making, and understanding the responsibility that comes with exercising your rights. I’ll always consider myself a student first and a coach second. I’m constantly seeking out new instructors, new perspectives, and new training so I can continue to grow and bring that knowledge back to my students and our cadre of coaches. The goal is simple: keep learning, keep improving, and help every student become better than they were when they started.”
- Kerry Dugan Jr., Owner, Chief Instructor, Coach & Training Counselor |
TRAINING ELECTIVESTraining electives cover a range of topics beyond basic firearm safety and fundamentals, including defensive shooting, performance on demand, and platform-specific courses for rifles, handguns, and shotguns. Many courses focus on the legal aspects of self-defense, use of force, and responsible firearm ownership. Courses may also cover medical and emergency preparedness.

"Can’t say enough good things about Archangel Defense and Lead Instructor Kerry Dugan. If you’re looking to develop your skills no matter what your level, this is the place to do it. The main principles of performance based shooting and the defensive application are on point in the wash of terrible instruction out there today. I also must mention the emphasis they have on safety makes everyone feel assured they can safely develop and progress on the range."

"Kerry is a awesome coach that has vast knowledge of the program (USCCA Defensive Pistol Program) and his teaching techniques are amazing. I look forward to continuing to work with him in the future. "
